AFRICAN-AMERICAN JUVENILE JUSTICE PROJECT (AAJJP)
"For these are all of our children and we will either profit by, or pay for, whatever they become." - James Baldwin
Attorney Sherri Jefferson sends her condolences to the FAMILY OF GEORGIA COURT OF APPEALS JUDGE DEBRA BERNES. Sherri Jefferson is forever grateful to Judge Bernes for partaking in writing the dissenting opinion in In re Sherri Jefferson. Along with then Chief Judge Debra Barnes and current Chief Judge Yvette Miller, these "divas of justice" wrote a compelling dissenting opinion, which garnered much review and consideration by the Supreme Court in its decision to grant a Writ of Cert. May God's grace and mercy be with the family during this time.
